Accessibility Statement
Jarrad Turner Sr. is committed to ensuring that jarradturner.com is accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. This Accessibility Statement outlines the steps taken to make this Site accessible, the standard I am working toward, and how to reach me if you encounter any barriers.
1. Our Commitment
I am committed to making this Site conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This Site is designed to be accessible to people with visual impairments, hearing impairments, motor impairments, cognitive disabilities, and speech disabilities.
2. Accessibility Features
Perceivable: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Content uses proper HTML heading hierarchy. Text and background colors meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1. Font sizes are set in relative units to allow resizing. No content relies solely on color to convey meaning.
Operable: The Site is fully navigable using a keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible on all interactive elements. No content automatically moves or blinks in a way that cannot be paused or stopped. Page titles are descriptive and unique.
Understandable: The language of the Site is set in HTML to English (en). Form fields include visible labels and clear error messages. Navigation is consistent across all pages. Content is written in plain, clear language.
Robust: The Site is built using valid, semantic HTML and follows modern web standards. It is tested for compatibility with major screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver. The Site is responsive and accessible on mobile devices.
3. Known Limitations
Embedded third-party content (such as video players, social media embeds, or external booking tools) may not fully meet the same accessibility standards. Some older media files may not yet have captions or transcripts. I am actively working to resolve these issues.
4. Assistive Technology Compatibility
This Site is designed to be compatible with: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), and TalkBack (Android) screen readers; screen magnification tools; keyboard-only navigation; and voice recognition software such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking. For the best experience, I recommend using an up-to-date version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge.
5. Feedback and Contact
I welcome feedback on the accessibility of this Site. If you experience any barriers or need information in an alternative format, please contact me and include: the URL of the page where you experienced the issue, a description of the problem, the assistive technology you are using (if applicable), and your preferred contact method. I aim to respond within 5 business days.

If you are not satisfied with my response to your accessibility feedback, you have the right to contact the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division or the U.S. Access Board.
7. Ongoing Improvement
I take the following steps to maintain and improve accessibility: conducting periodic audits using automated tools and manual testing; including accessibility review in all Site updates; staying informed about evolving WCAG guidelines; and reviewing this statement at least annually.
8. Technical Specifications
This Site relies on HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and WAI-ARIA (where applicable) for conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA. Where JavaScript is used for interactive components, accessible alternatives are provided.
